Bloodfever - Karen Marie Moning Verdict after the 2nd book: I liked the progression of Mac's character from bimbo to warrior, but I couldn't help feeling this book was merely a filler to amp up the page count for the series.Seriously, take most of the airheadedness of Mac 1.0 from Darkfever (the incessant whining about her life before Alina's murder, about the cutting of her hair, about the wardrobe changes, the mangled manicure and pedicure, blah blah blah), add to it the plot from this one (the rest was redundant Mac chatter and repeating of mostly everything written in the aforementioned first book in the series), and you have a "bloody damned" good book on your hands instead of two (one pretty good one and a filler).I'm falling more and more for Barron's though. Can't help it, the guy's like a drug. ;P...series review
