Kiss in Rome - Barbara Cartland This just might me one of my BC favorites. It had everything I like, secret identity (a young woman posing as an older chaperon to her best friend), a rakishly handsome marquis that falls head over heels (against his will) in love with the aforementioned chaperon, a visit to a foreign city (this time Rome) where everything is possible since they don't know who you are, an unwanted infatuation of a foreign aristocrat, a thwarted kidnapping (and maybe a little more)...And the much awaited HEA after the young lady escapes Rome and the man who stolen her heart convinced he could never love her now that he knows the truth, that she in fact isn't the worldly woman he thought she was.Well, she was so wrong.Loved it.
