The Royal Wedding Night - Day Leclaire Reminded me a little of Barbara Cartland’s work, especially the beginning with the “bridal swap”. I haven’t read the rest of the trilogy, but I wouldn’t mind doing that. I won’t rush out to find the previous two books, but if I happen to stumble upon them, sure, I’ll give them a try. This was a good example of “template writing” for SD, if you ask me. We have a love-conflict, a misunderstanding, self-sacrifice for honor, royal blood, court intrigue...It needs quite a bit of disbelief suspension, but it’s still good for reading on an afternoon when you’re not in the mood to read anything “heavier”.
