This book left me utterly speechless, gaping like a guppy, scratching my head, and wondering why it’s such a favorite. I’m still looking for an answer.I read this as part of my It’s Taboo! reading challenge as a banned book. No wonder a PWP (weren’t Brits supposed to be cold fish?) with a strangely warped philosophical view written by a misogynist wannabe totally in love with his penis was banned (and should’ve stayed that way for me).Repetitive, tiresome, boring, and with the most un-erotic approach to writing sex scenes I’ve ever seen. I returned it to the library the day after I borrowed it. Unfinished.
