Glory in Death by J.D. Robb

Glory in Death - J.D. Robb

A woman, a well-liked and well-respected prosecutor is murdered in the seedy part of town. Her throat is sliced, but it's not a robbery, since the only thing is missing, is her umbrella. Eve Dallas is on the case, the spotlight already bright thanks to her relationship with Roarke, shining even brighter...But no one covets the spotlight more than the killer.

Woohoo. An intense, gripping page-turner. It kept me guessing, even though the killer was rather predictable (he's briefly exonerated somewhere in the middle, which threw me). Gory and chilling suspense, a good mystery, and a welcome and quite realistic progress to the romance between Eve and Roarke with that wrench thrown into the wheels a few chapters in.

Well-written, well-thought-out with a tight plot and spot-on pacing. Loved it.
